The Endorsement That Never Came

June 2026

Blackburn built her governor campaign on loyalty to Trump. Her August 2025 launch video declared "Trump is back. America is blessed." When he praised her at a January 2026 rally, she publicly promised: "As the next Governor of Tennessee, you have my word: I will NEVER let you down." The record on this site documents what that loyalty cost Tennessee — the tariff silence during a $450M farm-loss year, the Medicaid and SNAP votes, the January 6 sequence.

Here is what the loyalty bought: nothing. In spring 2026, aboard Air Force One, Trump told Tennessee's congressional delegation he would not endorse her — because her opponent had been loyal to him too. June 2026 reporting confirmed no endorsement for either candidate heading into the August 6 primary.

Tennessee paid the price of the loyalty. The endorsement never came. And for Republican voters, that fact settles something important: a vote in this primary is not a vote for or against Trump. He is sitting it out. The record is the only thing left to vote on.
